The emir also warned that the economic consequences of the conflict extend well beyond the Gulf, driving up food and medicine prices and affecting people “who have nothing to do with the causes of the conflict.”
Qatar serves as a diplomatic broker between Washington and Tehran, hosting indirect talks, facilitating sensitive prisoner swaps, and managing frozen Iranian funds to de-escalate tensions.
