180 BITES OF HELL! NEWBORN BABY JASON MAULED TO DEATH BY PIT BULL ‘CHOMP’ — DAD JAILED 16 YEARS FOR HORROR HOME

GREATRIBUNETVNEWS–“A one-week-old baby boy, Jason Anthony Weaver, has been killed in one of the most horrific child neglect cases in recent US history — mauled to death by his family’s own pet dog in their trash-filled home in rural Markle, Indiana.”
It was not an accident. It was a death trap waiting to happen.
THE BEAST:
“The killer dog, identified as Chomp, a five-year-old husky and pit bull mix, unleashed a savage attack that left the newborn with at least 180 bite wounds across his head and body.”
THE AUTOPSY NIGHTMARE:
“Medical examiners disclosed the extent of the brutality: severe brain haemorrhages, fractured ribs, and torn lungs. The injuries were unsurvivable.”

The fatal incident occurred in September inside the family’s rural home, which authorities described as being filled with rubbish and insects.
The dog was subsequently euthanised.
Following the baby’s death, police arrested six family members— the father, mother, grandparents and uncle — in a sweeping case that exposed shocking neglect.

Jason’s father was initially charged with two counts of neglect and one count of harbouring a non-immunised dog that caused an injury.
According to details first reported by the New York Post, prosecutors dropped the highest-level neglect charge in exchange for a guilty plea that fetched him 16 years in prison.
The sentence was handed down on Monday.
Prosecutors argued the case highlights the criminal consequences of failing to protect vulnerable children from dangerous conditions.
The drama is far from over.
The baby’s mother, Violet Weaver, is scheduled to appear for a change-of-plea hearing later this month.
Meanwhile, criminal proceedings remain active against four other relatives charged in connection with the death: grandparents Timothy Kinsey, Rita Wickey and Michael Wickey, and uncle Tony Kinsey.
All are facing charges as the court prepares to determine their legal fate.
