GREATRIBUNETVNEWS—Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom has called on Seplat Energy to focus on executing projects that benefit the people of the state and drive development. He made this plea during a courtesy visit by Seplat Energy Group to the Government House in Uyo.
Eno assured the company of the state’s support in its vision to remain Nigeria’s leading independent energy provider. He emphasized that his administration is people-oriented and will back initiatives that benefit the citizens of Akwa Ibom.
The governor highlighted the state’s enabling environment, international-standard accommodations like the Udom Emmanuel Towers, and an employment portal with details of unemployed youths. He encouraged Seplat Energy to utilize these resources to enhance its operations and hire local talent.
Seplat Energy’s Board Chairman, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, informed the governor about the company’s acquisition of ExxonMobil’s entire share capital. Udoma sought the state’s support and cooperation to ensure a seamless transition and expressed the company’s commitment to safe operations, increased production, and community development
