GREATRIBUNETVNEWS–Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Company (NUPRC) have debunked claims of disparity in crude oil production figures.
NNPC’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, explained that the apparent difference stems from the periods covered by the respective reports.
_Clarification on Production Figures_
– _NUPRC’s Figure_: Represents average production for September 2024, standing at 1.54 million barrels per day (mbpd).
– _NNPC’s Figure_: Reflects peak production achieved in October 2024, reaching 1.8 mbpd.
NUPRC’s Chief Executive Officer, Gbenga Komolafe, confirmed this alignment during the 42nd Annual International Conference & Exhibition. This clarification underscores the surge in crude oil production, with both agencies affirming their commitment to accurate reporting and transparency.
