BARR BAYO LAWAL, OYO ACTING GOVERNOR, ATTENDS COUNCIL OF STATE MEETING

Barr. Abdul Raheem Adebayo,the Acting Governor of Oyo State on Tuesday, participated in the Council of State meeting, joining other State Governors from across Nigeria.
The high-level meeting was held at the Aso Villa in Abuja and was presided over by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ahmed Bola Tinubu
This meeting, the first under the current administration, marks a significant gathering of the nation’s leaders. It was notably attended by four former presidents and heads of state: General Yakubu Gowon, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, Goodluck Jonathan, and Muhammadu Buhari The last Council of State meeting took place in April 2023, shortly after the general elections.
During the session, the Council passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu. The discussions covered a range of critical national issues, including the impact of recent nationwide protests on security, the current state of the economy, food availability and affordability, and the continued progress in the development of the solid minerals sector.
