2023 : ACMWAMN DRUMS SUPPORT FOR TINUBU SAYS HIS PRESIDENCY WILL BE A BLESSING TO NIGERIA
In what could be described as the mother of all supports, the Association of Commodity Market Women and Men of Nigeria under the ascendancy of Chief Mrs Afọláṣadé Tinubu-Òjó, the Ìyálọ́jà-General of Nigeria yesterday, Tuesday, January 18, 2022 gathered together all market traders – men and women in their various groups, circles and endeavours to throw their support for the candidacy of Nigeria’s political generalissimo, an iconic enigma, a colossus, a titan and a behemoth of immeasurable grandeur, Aṣíwájú Bọ́lá Ahmed Adékúnlé Tinubú, the National Leader, All Progressives Congress, APC.
The event which started as early as 9.00am on Tuesday began with various performances by different groups which came to display their artistry for a man whom they described as a destiny moulder, a philanthropist per excellence, a pillar of support and the modern day mahogany for all market traders. Aṣíwájú Bọ́lá Tinubu, the various groups that took turn to perform was simply referred to as the ONÍDÚRÓ in times of troubles for anyone and everyone. “You really do not have to know Ọmọ Olódó Idẹ in person. Once you approach him for help, be sure that you will go back home a happy soul. Such is the personality of Ọmọ Abibatu Mọ́gàjí.” One of the groups had enthused.
The event had other groups aside the market men and women in attendance. One of such is the political support group which has the Ìyálọ́jà-General, Chief Mrs Afọláṣadé Tinubu-Òjó as its Life Matron, the Nigeria Diaspora for Aṣíwájú, NDA. The Group which came out in their numbers to identify with its Life Matron profoundly registered its presence with several displays led by its Lagos State Director who stood in for the Director General, Princess Mrs Elizabeth Ọbanla. The Lagos State Director, who stood in for the Group described the candidacy of Aṣíwájú Bọ́lá Ahmed Tinubu as a succour for the hoi polloi, a relief to the downtrodden and a pathway to economic prosperity and governance el dorado.
The visibly elated Ìyálọ́jà-General, Chief Mrs Afọláṣadé Tinubu-Òjó who doubles as the Chief Host of the event could not contain her happiness with the unprecedented show of support her subordinates and fellow business men and women in the market displayed at the event. The unassuming but intelligent Market Leader expressed her profund appreciation for the massive support judging by the tumultuous crowd that graced the event. In her speech, she averred;
“I stand before you today, first, to appreciate God, the Almighty, the Omni-potent for sparing our lives to this moment. And also to thank you, my wonderful market traders for the unalloyed support you have hitherto extended to my leadership; and more pointedly today, you have proved a point to me and to the world that, indeed èèyàn l’aṣọ mi. The love and respect you accorded my father, our bàbá which has now been extended to me will will not be taken for granted. I want to use this opportunity too to thank several Nigerians, groups, associations, bodies from the North to the South and from the South to the East. This support is without equivocation unprecedented in the annals of Nigeria’s political history. I want to believe, very firmly that Aṣíwájú Bọ́lá Tinubu’s presidency is a divine mandate, celestially endorsed already. For this, I thank everyone for this unexpected support.”
“It is instructive however to state that the work has just begun. I want to appeal that we must all go back to our various destinations and begin a door-to-door, neighbour-to-neighbour and each-one-tell-one campaign to take the gospel of a Tinubu Presidency to the nooks and crannies of Nigeria. Tí iná ò bá tán láṣọ, ẹ̀jẹ̀ kìí tán ní èékánná. A Tinubu Presidency will come with abundance and positive democratic deliverables to the entire citizenry” She affirmed.
The event also witnessed various speeches from different groups and leaders of market association from other states of the Federation to include but not limited to Nasarawa, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Kogi, Kwara among others. The association further resolved to hit the ground running to commence its robust campaign for the man cosmopolitan as the Jagaban Borgu. It says the association witnessed a tremendous turnaround during the APC National Leader’s sway as the numero uno of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007. It said it therefore believed that having him as the country’s number one could only guarantee one thing – better life for market traders across the length and breadth of the country. The event witnessed prayer sessions, musical interlude, cultural display and other side attractions.
