IGP orders Arrest of Policemen Destroying Traders Goods while Enforcing Lagos Restriction Order
The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has ordered the arrest of a group of Policmen seen in a video destroying the goods of some traders ship for flouting the Lagos State government restriction order yesterday.
The Policemen were among the special team deployed to enforce to enforce the restriction order announced by the Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu to curtail the spread of Coronavirus disease.
The Video shows them smashing several cartons of alcoholic beverages and also destoying other goods in some affected shops.
A Statement shared by the Police via@PoliceNG says the IGP has “directed the CP, Lagos State command in person of CP Odumosu. H. Olusegun to immediately investigate and commence disciplinary actions against the officers involved”.
