Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) has dismissed a misleading report alleging interference in its recruitment process. The company stated that the report was unfounded and misleading, emphasizing its commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process.
CNL clarified that it does not have a “General Manager of EGP” position, as mentioned in the report. The company also explained that its Vocational Training Program (VTP) and Operations Training Program (OTP) were corporate social responsibility initiatives, not recruitment processes.
Chevron Nigeria reiterated its commitment to equal opportunities and transparency in its recruitment process, encouraging qualified candidates from neighboring communities to participate. The company also reaffirmed its dedication to contributing positively to sustainable community and socio-economic development.
Olusoga Oduselu, general manager,
Policy, Government & Public Affairs, who issued the statement said “CNL is an equal opportunity employer, and its recruitment process is transparent and fair and provides equal opportunity for all qualified candidates to participate in its hiring process based on organizational requirements and business needs. However, CNL encourages qualified candidates from communities neighbouring its operations to participate in its recruitment process.”
