GREATRIBUNETVNEWS–Pope Francis has strongly criticized President Donald Trump’s deportation policy, describing it as a “major crisis” that damages the dignity of migrants and refugees.
In a letter to US bishops, the Pope urged Catholics and others not to support policies that discriminate against and cause unnecessary suffering to vulnerable individuals .
The Pope acknowledged the right of nations to defend themselves, but emphasized that deportation policies must be guided by compassion and respect for human dignity. He warned that policies built on force, rather than truth and equality, “begin badly and will end badly.”
This is not the first time the Pope has spoken out against Trump’s policies. Previously, he slammed both Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris for their anti-life stances, urging Catholics to vote for the “lesser evil” .
The Pope’s strong stance on migration and human dignity reflects the Catholic Church’s commitment to protecting the vulnerable and promoting compassion and understanding.
