GREATRIBUNETVNEWS–Israeli forces have killed no fewer than 42,010 people in Gaza, including 13,319 children and approximately 140 journalists, Amnesty International has said.
AI Country Director, Isa Sunsui, disclosed these figures during the relaunch of a report titled, ‘You Feel Like You Are Subhuman’, outlining the devastating impact of Israel’s ongoing military actions in Gaza.
Chairperson of the AI Board of Trustees, Auwal Rafsanjani, appealed to governments across the world to condemn what he described as genocide against the Palestinian people.
“The international community cannot continue to stand by while innocent lives are being lost on such a massive scale. Governments must take a stand against these atrocities,” Rafsanjani stated.
He said the relaunch event was aimed at drawing attention to the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza and renewed calls for accountability and justice for victims.
AI reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for the protection of civilians and holding perpetrators accountable for violations of international law.
The report emphasised testimonies from survivors and witnesses, shedding light on the severe destruction and suffering experienced by the people of Gaza.
