GREATRIBUNETVNEWS–Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) has emerged as the “Energy Company of the Year (2024)” due to its outstanding achievements in Environmental Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility.
The prestigious award was presented by Nigerian News Direct newspaper at a ceremony held at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos. Mr. Victor Anyaegbudike, Manager Communications, Chevron Nigeria and Mid-Africa Business Unit, received the award on behalf of the company.
The organizers praised Chevron for its “Protecting People and the Environment” policy, which aims to prevent injuries, illnesses, and environmental incidents. They also highlighted the company’s impressive 97% reduction in gas flaring in its Nigerian operations.
Furthermore, Chevron Nigeria has invested heavily in community development programs, supporting education, health, and economic development initiatives that have benefited thousands of people. The company has also demonstrated a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement.
While receiving the award, Mr. Anyaegbudike thanked the organizers and reiterated Chevron’s dedication to developing affordable, reliable, and cleaner energy solutions that drive human progress worldwide.
