MASS DEFECTION HITS OPPOSITION AS 4 LABOUR PARTY LAWMAKERS, OTHERS JOIN APC

GREATRIBUNTVNEWS–Labour Party (LP) federal lawmakers have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The lawmakers are Tokukwu Okere (Imo State), Donatus Mathew (Kaduna State), Bassey Akiba (Cross River State), and Iyawe Esosa (Edo State) .
Additionally, Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, daughter of former Delta State Governor James Ibori, has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the APC. Hon. Gideon Gwani, representing Kaura Federal Constituency in Kaduna State, has also announced his defection to the APC, citing personal conviction and alignment with the APC’s vision .
Gwani stated that his decision has the blessing of his constituents, emphasizing that he’s taking this decision based on personal conviction. The lawmakers’ letters of defection were read on the floor of the Green Chamber by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas on Thursday
