Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, CEO of Ilaji Sports and Resorts, has withdrawn from the Oyo State 2027 governorship race, citing his frustration with the state’s current political framework. After careful consideration and discussions with his father Alhaji Ganiyu Oladosu Sanusi, he decided to step out of the race due to the “circus” unfolding within the state’s politics .
Sanusi, known for his dedication to Oyo State’s development through investments in sports, youth empowerment, and community-driven initiatives, expressed disappointment over the direction of governance in the state. He criticized civil servants, public officials, and political appointees for prioritizing personal gains over the welfare of the state .
