POLICE NAB ELDERLY WOMAN, GANG OVER SALE OF HUMAN PARTS IN OGUN STATE
Ogun State Police command has arrested an elderly woman for allegedly selling human parts. She was arrested alongside members of her gang.
The cartel reportedly sells the parts for as low as N10,000, N20,000. The woman and her team were reportedly arrested while eating a victim’s flesh.
The members arrested include a gravedigger, a buyer, and a seller. Reports revealed that men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad nabbed the suspects after an officer posed as a buyer. A human head was to be sold to the undercover officer for N120,000 before the police swooped on the gang.
Recovered body parts include kidneys, heads, intestines, livers, and others.The police said they began investigation after a recent increase in recorded incidents of people disappearing without trace.
A police source said most of the body parts recovered from the gang were fresh. The gravedigger explained that they got some of the heads by exhuming corpses from gravesites.
