BAYO LAWAL, OYO DEPUTY GOV, WIFE VOTE IN KISHI, COMMEND VOTERS ON PEACEFUL CONDUCT
Barrister Abdulraheem Adebayo Lawal, Oyo Deputy Governor and his wife, Chief (Mrs) Ajibola Lawal, have cast their votes in Kishi during the on-going presidential and National Assembly elections holding across the length and breadth of Nigeria
Lawal and his wife, who both voted at Polling Unit 4, ward 6, Irepo Local Government Area were warmly received at the unit by his director of Protocol, Olalekan Peter Olawale
The deputy governor and his wife arrived at the unit at 9:56a.m. and got successfully verified by the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) at 9:58 a.m. and voted at 10 am.
Speaking with newsmen after casting his vote, Barr Lawal said he was impressed with the conduct of the exercise at the unit, saying that the process is fast since accreditation and voting were done simultaneously
He commended the peaceful atmosphere witnessed during the exercise and urged residents to maintain the peace while enjoining them to remain patient to enable them to vote within the stipulated time frame
