BAYO LAWAL SAYS ELECTIONS ARE INVIOLABLE
Barr Bayo Lawal, Deputy Governor, Oyo State has emphasised the need for sustained peace, unity and progress in the Kishi community and Oyo State.
Lawal, who is also from Kishi, in a Goodwill message presented at the Distinguished Personality lecture organized by the Kishi-First in honour of Pharmacist Chief Rahaman Jimoh Bioku popularly known as Bioraj, admonished Kishi citizens to imbibe the spirits of philanthropy, community development, love for one another and the art of appreciation Akeem Bonuola stated in a statement
“The deputy governor said peace and unity were the most conceivable tools for any expected rapid development.
“Kishi/Irepo is among the most peaceful towns/local governments in Oyo State owing to the disposition of the people of the town that peaceful coexistence was sacrosanct if development was to be achieved,” he said.
Lawal said 2023 is an important year with the general elections around the corner. The deputy governor buttressed the need for peaceful electioneering activities by the political parties without any violence.
He said there is also the need for all and sundry to ensure the conduct of free, fair and acceptable 2023 general polls. However, the Almighty God will make the new year much better for all of us.
“We are also confident that the forthcoming polls will be conducted peacefully,” he said. He therefore wished all the political candidates in Kishi best of luck. The statement added
