2023: MARIAM,ATIKU’S DAUGHTER WOOS SOUTH WEST WOMEN
Mariam Atiku,the daughter of the presidential aspirant of People’s Democratic Party,Alhaji Abubakar Atiku,has implored women in South West to cast their votes en masse for her father on the 2023 presidential election.
She also charged them to ensure that the party retains all the electoral seats in the state as a show of appreciation to PDP for the delivery of quality dividends of democracy in the state.
She spoke yesterday in Ibadan, during the inaugural meeting of the SouthWest Women Unite For Atiku,where she also disclosed that her father is the best candidate to occupy the number seat in the country next year on the ground of the matured manner he plays his politics.
According to her,the former vice president is a unifier and has been able to bring to bear his age long interactions with all Nigerians on his brand of politics,which he plays without bitterness, rancour, religious and ethnic considerations.
Lamenting the current state of the country,Mariam said the ruling party has sailed Nigeria’s ship to darkness and implored Nigerians,South West women to throw the APC out of power with their votes next year.
She expressed her willingness to work with South West women for her father and the party to win in Oyo State as well as entire South West,while advising them not to lose guard to the opposition party in the state.
Speaking,convener of the meeting,Mrs Adenike Yusuff, emphasized the importance of Alhaji Abubakar Atiku in the growth and development of Nigeria’s democracy.
She said the former vice president suffers many persecutions,risks his life,undergoes trials to enthrone democracy Nigerians are currently enjoying unhindered.
She said 2023 is the opportune time for Nigerians to reciprocate the gestures of Atiku by voting for him in large numbers with a view to enabling him return the lost glories of Nigeria.
According to her,the former vice president is the most qualified and emphatic candidate to fill the presidential seat next year on account of his exposure,interaction,and brand of politics which had endeared him to most Nigerians over the years.
She explained that she convened the meeting not only to mobilize support for the presidential candidate,but to also ingrain in Southwest women qualities of identifying with solution provider which Alhaji Atiku is known for.
She promised that Southwest women would not rest on their oars to ensure victory for Atiku as well as retain electoral seats for the ruling party in Oyo and entire South Western state.
In her remarks,Alhaja Folarin,also expressed the intent of Oyo women to deliver more votes for Atiku that would eventually ensure his presidential victory at next year’s poll.
An House of Representatives aspirant in Oyo,Alhaji Taofeek Abiola,implored the women to walk the talk in their support for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in order to win the presidential seat next year.
Atiku,he said,is the only candidate,who has the political muscle to defeat the ruling party,that is not ready to leave power.
