THE Management of SAKI UTD has cried out for help from government and other corporate bodies saying it may not honour its next match slated for Sokoto State.

SOKOTO PROFESSIONALS this afternoon in far away Minna , Niger State, disclosed that it didn’t receive any assistance from government quarters to prosecute its match against Sokoto probably because of bureaucratic bottle-neck.
Speaking with IFA Media, on WhatsApp call, the Assistant Coach of the team, Badmos Fesojaye disclosed that it was well- meaning individuals that contributed money for the team to travel to Minna for its first match.
The SAKI UTD sweat merchant who thanked the chairman of Ibadan Football Association (IFA) Barr. Rotimi Alli for the moral and financial assistance given to the State AITEO CUP representatives in the build-up to the Championship begged the soccer -loving Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde to come to the aid of the team to enable it travel to Sokoto for its next match against Katsina United.
Badmos,who promised to not let down the State and IFA said the club was in high spirits after today’s victory and was conscious of the fact that it was representing all IFA League teams and as such would go for another victory in its next match.
It is worthy of mention that SAKI UTD finished second behind 3SC in the 2021/22 IFA League but edged out the 3SC, in the semi – final of the State AITEO CUP Competition by 5-4 penalties .
SAKI came back from 0-2 to level up 2-2 in a pulsating encounter and then won the ensuing penalty shoot out.
