IBARAPA CENTRAL/NORTH FED CONSTITUENCY: IAM THE BEST OPTION – LATEEF OLAWUMI
Lateef Olawumi, an aspirant in Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency,under the All Progressives Congress, has affirmed that he was the best among the candidates vying for the seat and urged delegates to vote him enmasse in the primary election coming up on Friday .
He also appealed to the party’s leadership in Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency, to exhibit the ideals and value the APC stands for by ensuring that the best candidate emerge in the primary and ultimately flies the party’s flag in next year’s primary election.
Olawumi further implored the party’s delegates to diligently vote him as he is the candidate that would make them proud in the National Assembly as well as add value to their lives through quality representation.
Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency, he said cannot afford to settle for less in the midst of abundant minds that would put it in global map.
He said he’s the best among the candidates vying for the seat and urged delegates to vote him enmasse with a view to actualizing his lofty dream for the constituency
He said his vast experience, exposure and closeness to the grass root make him the best candidate to take the constituency to enviable height.
Olawumi,in a statement by his campaign office, said, “of the seven aspirants in that constituency, he’s rated to be at the vantage position to clinch the ticket because he’s thorough and enjoys the support of his people”
He added:”This is the moment of opportunity for the party in Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency to give the needed support for quality representation at the House of Representative. I have come with load of ideas acquired through every learning curves to take the constituency to an enviable height.
“I humbly submit that I am not new in the business of politics as some of you have noticed.I have been in the political arena for quite sometime sacrificing my energy and offering suggestions on how best to drive developmental changes.It’s therefore,not ill-thought or misplaced that I am taking this lofty shot at the House of Representatives to serve my people.
” My eventual success at the delegates’ election this Friday,is sure a vote of confidence on me by the constituency, the party and the nod to win the coveted ticket of the constituency at the next general election in the country.
Olawumi, who bags an Msc in Political science from the University of Lagos, had earlier aspired in 2007 to the State House of Assembly.
Though he won the party’s primary in 2007 but was denied the opportunity to contest in the general elections. Lateef contested under the Labour Party in 2015 for the State Assembly. In 2019, he was among the aspirants that willingly stepped down for Honourable Ademola Ojo, who was picked by the former Governor Ajimobi of blessed memory but lost to Hon. Sau Muraina in the general elections.
