BREAKING: COURT ORDERS DETENTION OF RE- ARRESTED NNAMDI KANU TILL JULY 26
Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court Abuja on Tuesday ordered that the extradited leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB),Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, be remanded in DSS custody until 26 July, 2021 for continuation of trial
The Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN), had, today, disclosed that Kanu was arrested by the Federal Government.
The minister said Kanu was arrested and brought back to Nigeria on Sunday, adding that the arrest followed a collaborative effort between security agencies in Nigeria and the Interpol.
Malami further disclosed that Kanu would be taken before the Federal High Court, Abuja, for continuation of his trial on charges bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony, unlawful possession of firearms and management of an unlawful society.
