JUST IN: Abuja INEC office on Fire
Less the 72 hours after the Corporate Affairs Headquarters in Abuja was gutted on fire, the Media Centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja was on Friday morning engulfed by fire.
INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of its Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, confirmed the incident.
He said, “Yes, it’s true, there was a fire. I’m going to the office to find out what happened. I will get back to you.”
Greatribunetvnews, gathered that the fire started minutes before noon and personnel of the Federal Fire Service had already mobilized to the scene in an effort to out the inferno.
